TESTIMONIALS

My name is Ty Backer and I own a chocolate lab named Kodi. I bought the dog with no real knowledge of retrievers and figured a dog was just a dog. Kodi cost me 80 dollars from a local back yard breeder. I happened to be browsing on KSL where I stumbled across Utah Bird Dog Training. When I dropped Kodi off he had a desire to retrieve but no real interest in birds. I went and saw Kodi a month and a half in and oh boy was he a different dog. He would just light up when he saw a bird and his obedience was very sharp. Tyce sent me pictures almost every week and kept me well informed on how Kodi was doing. When I went to pick my dog up after his 3 months was up I was amazed! That same day I entered Kodi in a top dog contest where he took 4th place out of about 25 dogs. Sending Kodi to Utah Bird Dog Training was the best thing I could have done for my dog and for myself. My little 80 dollar timid dog is now a well behaved bird hunting machine! I have already had some great experiences with my dog since I got him back and I know I have thousands more ahead of me. Thanks Tyce!!!!

Movie of Kodi's 2008/2009 season by Ty Backer. Great dog and great times!

Tyce did a great job with Boulders force fetch, I was extremely happy with his work and his obedience is wonderful. When i got boulder back he was a whole new dog. Tyce stands bye his work and makes sure you are satisfied and is very willing to lend advise. When I got boulder back, Tyce made sure i was knowledgeable of the commands, which made for a very smooth hand off.

Thanks Tyce

I am Spencer Whiting. I heard about Tyce Erickson from a friend that knew I was looking to buy a new lab pup. My friend told me about Tyce and referred me to his website to get more information about his current litter. I was excited to see he not only offered great blood lines, but training for hunting dogs as well. I phoned Tyce and arranged to meet with him and to pick out my dog. I knew right away Gator was my pup. We discussed future training opportunities. Gator wasn’t guaranteed to be a pointing lab, but I was told by Tyce he could bring it out of him. Sure enough when Gator was six months I sent him off to Tyce for his three months of training. Tyce continually sent me emails with pictures as well as updates to how the training was coming along. Tyce was kind enough to allow me to visit Gator during his training and I could tell a vast improvement with his obedience and retrieving. It was incredible to see because Gator was stubborn with me as a pup and I couldn’t get him to retrieve to my hand. Tyce pulled out Gator’s desire to retrieve and hunt. By the end of Gator’s three months; he was a lean, mean, hunting machine. And as a special surprise, Tyce was able to get Gator to point! I have been hunting with him several times since and his point continues to improve! Tyce made for a smooth handoff and made sure I knew all of the commands and was confident in giving them to Gator. We even bought several pheasants and worked with those commands and Gator’s point the day I picked him up. I could tell Gator was going to be an incredible hunting dog. Tyce Erickson is always willing to lend advice with Gator and his future. I highly recommend Tyce to any hunter that wants their dog to be a world class hunter. He knows what he is doing! I want to thank Tyce and his wife, Rachel, for everything. I feel like I’ve not only received the best dog, but a great friendship with Tyce as well.

Thanks Tyce!
