Hello my name is Tyce Erickson. I am the owner and trainer of utahbirddogtraining.com.  I grew up in Orem, Utah into a family of outdoor enthusiasts. At twelve years old my dad bought me my first shotgun, a browning BPS. Ever since I can remember I would go hunting with my dad for pheasants, ducks, and big game every fall. At age fifteen I had already saved enough money for my own duck hunting boat, all the gear to go along with it, and I had trained my first black lab, Lady. I am now 28 years old and have only missed two seasons because of a two year service mission to Taiwan. I love bird hunting and all of the good things associated with it: good friends, sunrises, sunsets, sights and sounds of nature and of a course the hunting dogs. I am a member of the American Pointing Lab Association and have run dogs from the certified level to the master level in the APLA tests. I am also on the the board of directors for the Utah Valley Retriever Club and enjoy talking to others about bird dogs. My real passion is bird hunting and the awesome dogs that go along with it!  I have taken every speice of upland game in Utah.  I have almost taken every speice of waterfowl but am still working on getting a few more birds, if you know where any Canvasbacks are let me know!
