Hello my name is Tyce Erickson. I am the owner and trainer of Utah Bird Dog Training. I grew up in Orem, Utah into a family of outdoor enthusiasts. At twelve years old my dad bought me my first shotgun, a browning BPS and by the age of 18 I had already worn the gun out from so much bird hunting! Ever since I can remember I would go hunting with my dad and brothers for pheasants, ducks, and big game every fall. At age fifteen I had already saved enough money for my own duck hunting boat, all the gear to go along with it, and I had trained my first black lab. I am now 36 years old and train bird dogs full time here at Utah Bird Dog Training. In addition, we also have to full time assistant trainers to help make your gun dog the best it can be. Either throwing or planting birds, some training takes many hands to do a good job. We have those qualified hands here to make that happen for you. I have only missed two seasons of bird hunting because of a two year service mission to Taiwan. I love bird hunting and all of the good things associated with it: good friends, sunrises, sunsets, sights and sounds of nature and of a course the bird dogs! I am a member and judge for the American Pointing Lab Association and enjoy running dogs in the American Kennel Club and American Pointing Lab Association sponsored events. I have run dogs from the Junior and Certified level to the Master level in the APLA and AKC hunt tests. I also breed and train top end pointing labradors. No matter what type of bird dog you prefer, we train it here at Utah Bird Dog Training. We work with all the great pointing and retrieving breeds and understand the different breeds and what it takes to help them become a quality gun dog. If you can relate to me and our passion for hunting behind a well trained bird dog, than you have come to the right place! Utah bird dog training, we hunt harder!
