If dog will be hunting upland game at the end of its training plan on about $300.00 to $350.00 dollars worth of birds to be shot over your dog. Owner is welcome to pay for birds upfront. That will usually be about 20 pheasants or chuckar shot over dog and spread out through the training. This gives your dog a real good head start on its hunting career.
If extra birds are needed to help your dog go further in its training, the owner will be responsible for the birds. While your dog is in training, it will receive tons of bird work with dead pheasants, ducks and chukar at no additional cost. When your dog goes home, we usually like to shoot about 5 birds pheasants or chuckar over your dog together. This way you can see your dog in real hunting situation and get an opportunity to handle the dog while it is hunting.
Dog Food We currently feed Purina Pro Plan Sport Performance 30/20 dog food. Our cost on the dog food is about $50.00 dollars a month. If you would like us to take the head ache out of bringing food with you for your dog, just cover the cost of food and we will feed your dog during its stay. We feed what the bag recommends for most working dogs about 4 cups per day. Occasionally, we have dogs that need more food due to the work load or the dogs higher metabolism. If circumstances arise that dog is required to be fed more than recommended daily amount, owner is responsible to cover the cost of extra food if needed.
